RSPCA's national cruelty line leads to 1,887 cats rescued in Midlands

Redditch Editorial 21st Oct, 2019 Updated: 21st Oct, 2019   0

THE RSPCA rescued more cats than any other animal last year – including 1,887 in West Midlands, as a result of calls to its national cruelty line.

The charity’s inspectors took in the equivalent of 60 cats per day – or 22,000 over the whole year. This is more than any other animal nationally and is four times the number of dogs at 5,930.

The announcement comes as the RSPCA enters Cat Week as part of its month-long rehoming drive Adoptober.
