THE Borough Council’s Rubicon Leisure has taken over the full management of Pitcheroak Golf Course and its bar and cafe, famous for its breakfasts.
The course, off Plymouth Road, was already managed by the borough leisure arm however now it has taken on the catering side too.
In a statement Rubicon Leisure said: “There is currently a short period of closure while a refit of the kitchen and cafe take place.
“The inside of the clubhouse is also getting a revamp in preparation to re-open in the coming weeks.
“The golf course will remain open throughout the planned works.”
The venue will re-open as Greenview Bar & Cafe and will continue to serve its renowned breakfasts and offer food and snacks throughout the day as well as being a bar and a function venue for parties, weddings and funerals.
