SANTA and his reindeer’s came to Redditch early this year – landing their magical sleigh outside St Stephen’s Church on Saturday (December 5) as part of the town’s Family Fun Day.

Led by Redditch Town Centre Partnership, Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Primrose Hospice, and Redditch Borough Council the event saw visitors enjoy meeting Rudolph and his furry friends in the Family Fun Zone from 10am while the town’s teenage girls fell head over heels with former X Factor star and Dancing On Ice champion, Ray Quinn.

The pop sensation made a special appearance on a live stage by Alcester Street’s needles at 4pm before visiting Worcester Square at 4.30pm for an exclusive meet and greet with fans.

Guests were treated to live performances from 2pm on the event stage, outside the Post Office, by local talent Stuart Woolfenden and Abbie Cope, Indigo Arts, Redditch Community Gospel Choir and blues mega-group The Long Lost Blues Brothers before choirs and bands serenaded the crowds with a medley of favourites and Christmas classics.
