Redditch Editorial 20th Nov, 2017 Updated: 22nd Nov, 2017   0

SANTA Claus is coming to town – and he’s visiting more people in Redditch this year than ever before.

Redditch Round Table has announced the dates for this year’s Christmas visit to Redditch and Santa and his snowmen will be visiting neighbourhoods in the town from Wednesday, December 6, through until  Thursday, December 21.

The ladies at Kingfisher Redditch Ladies Circle will be helping members of Redditch Round Table along with volunteers from local clubs and groups for every evening of the collection.

Residents will get a chance to see Santa and his sleigh from 5.30pm on week days and on 4.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The sleigh will be out until 8.30pm each evening.

You can even track Santa’s location live online via www.redditchsanta.co.uk

Maps showing the routes and roads being visited will be appearing soon at www.facebook.com/redditchroundtable and www.facebook.com/redditchladiescircle

Rory O’neill, Chairman of Redditch Round Table explained how this year the group would be working extra hard to ensure as many areas as possible would be covered “It is difficult to cover every area of Redditch, but this year we have added an extra 4 nights to our usual 11 nights to make 15 nights out with Santa.

“We are restricted in some areas due to traffic conditions, accessibility and the logistics of planning a sensible walking route for our volunteers. We are always happy to stop for people who come out to meet us, so come along and find us in an area near to you and we’ll make sure that Santa sees you.”

The money raised during the Christmas collection is all redistributed to local causes in Redditch.

The club is always looking for new members, open to men aged 18-45, while for ladies there is the Kingfisher Redditch Ladies Circle which you read more about at www.facebook.com/redditchladiescircle
