Santa's sleigh ready to take to the road with Redditch Round Table

Redditch Editorial 1st Dec, 2021   0

SANTA is coming to Redditch again this Christmas!

Redditch Round Table members have been busy brushing down the reindeers and readying the famous red suit as he takes to the road from Thursday, December 2.

Once again, due to the pandemic, the Tablers won’t be knocking on doors so are asking people to listen out for Santa’s bell ringers as they go round each route.

This 2021 Redditch Santa sleigh will kick-off from Winyates Green:

Thursday, Dec 2, Winyates Green; Friday, Dec 3, Abbeydale, Riverside, Lakeside, Abbey Stadium new builds and Church Hill (most northern roads); Saturday, Dec 4, Greenlands and Lodge Park; Sunday, Dec 5, Webheath; Monday, Dec 6, Brockhill, Tuesday, Dec 7, Batchley and Brockhill; Wednesday, Dec 8, Church Hill; Friday, Dec 10, Oakenshaw; Saturday, Dec 11, Crabbs Cross; Sunday, Dec 12, Headless Cross; Monday, Dec 13, Woodrow, Wirehill and Abbeygate; Tuesday, Dec 14, Matchborough and Ipsley; Wednesday, Dec 15, Winyates East and West; Thursday, Dec 16, Callow Hill; Friday, Dec 17, Astwood Bank; Saturday, Dec 18, Walkwood and Webheath.

Table chairman Andy Norris said: “Following on from the successful approach we took last year we decided to follow a similar pattern this year.

“We will not knock on doors, avoiding close contact where possible with members of the public as we make our rounds with Santa, but we will accept cash donations again this year as well as the use of the QR codes for people to scan and donate online or text donations again like we used last year.

“Please remember all Santa and his little helpers are volunteers giving up their own time to spread a little Christmas cheer.

“If you would like to be involved with the Round Table in the future, please contact myself or Steve of Redditch Round Table on our Facebook site via messenger.”
