SCARECROWS young and old found St Leonard’s Church Beoley was the place to be last Saturday for its popular Summer Fair.
Organisers had magically transformed the churchyard into the famous Scatterbrook Farm which was the home of home of the eponymous character Worzel Gummidge.
Complete with a scarecrow competition – with prizes for the winners – visitors defied the threatening weather to turn up and have a good time enjoying the usual mix of stalls as well as some new editions.
Music was provided by The Worcestershire Players Club and with a free minibus from Church Hill Centre and Beoley village hall a great time was had by all.
