PUPILS and staff alike were in the festive spirit last Friday (December 11) at Birchensale Middle School as they donned Christmas jumpers in aid of the Redditch Food Bank.
Pastor Andrew Diaper from the Redditch Baptist Church visited the school to collect the donations which were made in exchange for being able to wear their wildest Christmas jumpers to school.
The event, which was organised by the school council and Sarah Bradley, a teacher at Birchensale, saw over 500 items donated to the cause.
She said: “The pupils were very keen to help our wider community and with Christmas fast approaching we wanted to give to those less fortunate than us.”
