School on the ball to ensure the Redditch United continue to grow

REDDITCH United have linked up with Trinity High School and P&E Sports in a move which will mean the school’s new state-of-the-art 3G pitch hosts the club’s teams.

For the 2024/25 season and beyond, Trinity High School 3G will be an additional home for training and matches for the club’s junior and community programme.

This will provide another 3G pitch for Redditch United’s teams to play on, alongside the home ground, The Valley Stadium, and other venues.

Reds chairman David Faulkner said: “Our goal has always been very clear – grow the club.

“Our growth has been stunted in recent seasons due to a shortage of high-quality facilities to match our high-quality offer, leading to us having a substantial waiting list of teams and players.

“Core to our offer is to provide football throughout the whole season, regardless of the weather, and adding another facility for our teams to use will enable another significant progression forward.”

The club’s operations manager Rory Budge said “The most important thing for our teams is to provide them opportunities to play, learn and compete.

“With another winter of wet weather, many teams across the area have been unable to get regular football but our offer at Redditch United, due to the excellent facilities we use, means this is not a problem for us.

“I’m very excited about the future of the junior section.

“It has more than tripled in size since I started my role, and I believe the facilities, level of support for coaches, players and parents, and the general experience of being part of a Redditch United junior team is unrivalled in the area.”
