SEATING capacity has been increased and a live stream is in place as part of special arrangements for Redditch Borough Council’s next Planning Committee meeting.
On Wednesday, March 20, the committee will consider an application for residential development on land West of Hither Green Lane, Redditch.
The planning application has caused some controversy, with a campaign group, North Redditch Communities Alliance (NoRCA), set up to oppose the development.
They say the proposals will pour hundreds of extra car journeys on to Dagnell End Road and its already congested junction with the A441 Birmingham Road.
While extra seating will be available for the meeting at the Town Hall, capacity is limited to 70 seats, and these will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested parties are asked to use the livestream service where possible.
On the night, the Town Hall car park will not be available to the public, although any registered speakers who need disabled parking can contact Democratic Services to reserve a space.
Anyone wishing to speak at the meeting must notify the council of their intention to do so by midday on Monday, March 18, by emailing Democratic Services at [email protected] or calling 01527 64252 Ext 3304.
