Sell sell sell as Redditch Mayor marks end of civic year with charity market

Redditch Editorial 25th Apr, 2019   0

TO mark the end of her year in office, Redditch Mayor Councillor Juliet Brunner is hosting a market so residents can buy – or sell – a range of wares.

The Mayor is inviting crafty residents, budding Alan Titchmarshes or Delia Smiths to hire a stall and sell their goodies.

The event is open to the public who can pick up a bargain and there will also be a Bric-A-Brac sale too.

Councillor Brunner said: “I have met such wonderful people from all walks of life as I have toured the Borough and I am moved by the strong sense of community which Redditch has.

“I have also met some really talented people and I thought this market would be a great opportunity for them to showcase their creations – and raise money for charity.

“So whether you have grown lots of amazing goods on your allotment, can whip up a cracking cake or sew splendid garments, we’d love to hear from you.”

The stalls cost £20 to hire from 10am til 2pm and the market will be held in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall, on May 9.

All proceeds from the stall hire will go to the Mayor’s charities which include Bowel Cancer UK, the Royal British Legion and the Sandycroft Centre.

To book your stall e-mail [email protected] by May 1.
