A REDDITCH business has donated some festive cheer to help a charity deliver Christmas dinner to deserving clients.
Oakland International, based in Beoley, has gifted ten turkeys to brain injury charity, Headway Worcestershire to ensure every service user can share and enjoy Christmas dinner this year.
Oakland also supported Headway in 2015 and Dean Attwell, CEO at the family business and food supply chain specialist said: “Our employees are delighted to support Headway Worcestershire. The vital services they provide to so many people within our community are amazing, so it’s a privilege to support their Christmas meal celebrations.”
Head cook at Headway, Hazel Davies, said: “I am incredibly grateful for everybody who has helped me so far.
“I see the people affected by brain injury every day.
“Brain injury is incredibly debilitating, and during Christmas is when people feel it the most. I am lucky that I am healthy, that my kids and my loved ones are well, and I want to do as much as I can to help those who are not.”
Other Worcestershire businesses have come to the charity’s help, with n-Power donating £200 worth of vouchers, and Willersey Provisions providing bacon and sausages.
Headway is still looking for donations for their shopping list and for fresh produce towards the Christmas dinners. Contact Julia at [email protected] or 01905 729 729.
