SEVERAL people were caught travelling without tickets at Redditch Station today.
It was part of an operation by West Mercia Police officers who have been working with West Midlands Safer Travel, British Transport Police and Revenue Protection Inspectors.
It comes just days after fines were increased for ticketless travel.
The amount people must pay has gone up from £20 to £100.
All those caught avoiding fares were fined.
