Severn Trent invites customers to Studley drop-in session ahead of water network upgrade

Redditch Editorial 9th Dec, 2022 Updated: 1st Jun, 2023   0

SEVERN Trent is inviting customers in Studley to attend a drop-in session to learn more about an upcoming upgrade to its water network.

The work, which will see 600 metres of water pipe on Studley Road being replaced, will take place between the roundabout at Woodrow Drive and the junction at Green Lane.

From 3.45pm until 6.15pm residents will have the chance to view the plans and speak with members of the Severn Trent team next Monday (December 12) at Studley Sports Centre.

Paul Hughes, community communications officer at Severn Trent said: “Our drop-in sessions are a great chance to ask us any questions you may have about the work. Customer feedback is really important to us, and we look forward to meeting residents to discuss these essential network upgrades.”

A lane on Woodrow Drive will be closed and there will be multiway signals on Studley Road and Green Lane.

Access to homes, businesses and emergency vehicles will be maintained.

Paul added: “We always try to minimise the impact of our works on communities, but for essential upgrades projects such as this, due to the location of some of the pipework, we will need to put in place a lane closure.

“We understand that this can be frustrating, our teams will be working hard to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.”
