A STUDENT from Redditch showcased her computer skills when she represented her specialist college in a competition in Birmingham, and returned with a silver medal.
Rhiannon Evans, a learner at specialist residential Derwen College, in Shropshire, took part in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Inclusive Skills competition at South and City College, in the Second City.
The competition saw students from colleges across the West Midlands demonstrate word processing skills with Rhiannon clinching silver for her efforts.
Iain Evans from Derwen said: “We are delighted Rhiannon Evans won silver in the competition. She presented herself excellently and worked independently and is a credit to our college.”
Derwen’s Principal Meryl Green added: “Well done Rhiannon. What a fantastic result.”
