A TASTER session is being held by Redditch Choral Society where people can go and meet the group, listen to the music and have a go at singing.
It takes place from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday, March 4, at Crabbs Cross Methodist Centre.
The group is a friendly choir made up of singers of all ages – some who have been there for years and new recruits.
The choir is always looking for new members who will be made very welcome.
Redditch Choral Society perform two concerts a year at St Stephen’s Church or Trinity High School.
Some of the Choral pieces are very well known and others are chosen to give variety and a challenge.
Last June’s Mozart Requiem was a great success, as was the Christmas concert which included Edward Elgar’s ‘A Christmas Greeting’ as well as many European carols.
The choir has started rehearsals for the summer concert which takes place on June 20 at St Stephen’s Church.
A spokesperson for the choir said: “Redditch is tremendously lucky to have such a friendly and welcoming choral society.
“Please come to the taster evening if you are thinking of joining the choir, and put the date of the June concert in your diary.”
