CLIMATE crisis protesters once again took to the streets of Redditch on Friday as they joined the global movement Youth Strike 4 Climate in a concerted action to raise the profile of the damage rising temperatures are doing to the planet.
Among them were Claire Davies, the Green Party candidate in Redditch in the forthcoming General Election.
She said: “I feel I am repeating myself every single time: The climate crisis is the single biggest issues we all face and we are here to try and raise awareness of it.”
Just days after the protest a poll by the environmental law firm ClientEarth found just one in ten people in Redditch trust the main political parties to fight climate change with younger voters feeling particularly passionate about the issue.
