THE BROMSGROVE and Redditch Soroptimists collected a host of items for the local foodbank by running a reverse Advent calendar throughout December.
Each day last month, an item was put into a bag by members and then the collected items were taken to the Oasis Christian Centre and handed over to Rev Robin Baker.
They were then transported to a distribution centre where people in need were referred by care professionals and could collect items to help feed themselves and their families.
Soroptimists support women, girls and families through charities locally, nationally and internationally.
