REHEARSALS are going well for the popular musical 42nd Street which is being brought to the Redditch Palace stage by Studley Operatic Society (SOS).
With a cast of 40 alongside a sizeable production team, SOS’s production combines show-stopping numbers, dazzling costumes and unforgettable tap routines.
Cast and crew have both been hard at work in producing a show of exceptional quality, with wig fittings, scenery meetings, and intensive tap rehearsals taking place over the past few months.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring the glitz and glamour of Broadway to Redditch Palace Theatre this April, especially after the unpredictable events of the last 18 months,” said Lorraine Hill chair of SOS.
“As chair and a member of the show’s chorus, I’m so unbelievably proud of the sheer time and effort that has been put in by our members to bring 42nd Street to life.
“It promises to be a musical to remember.”
Led by directors Alison and Kevin Hirons, SOS’s production of 42nd Street will be taking place at Redditch Palace Theatre from Tuesday to Saturday, April 5-9.
