Sounds in the Grounds returns bigger and better for third year at Arrow Valley

VISITORS are in for a treat when the popular Sounds In The Grounds event returns for its third consecutive year, bringing a day of live music, family entertainment and community atmosphere to the Boathouse at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre.

Building on the success of previous years, the free event will bring an impressive line-up of local musicians and performers across two stages, while offering a vibrant programme of family-friendly activities, food and drink, local traders, community organisations and charities.

Visitors can enjoy performances on the event’s outdoor Main Stage, featuring a variety of music styles and live acts through the day, headlined by Harmony Reggae Band.

Plus, the Cafe Stage inside The Boathouse Cafe will spotlight emerging artists, acoustic performers and an open mic session.

The event has become a highlight of the summer, attracting thousands of visitors and providing a space for local talent, businesses and community groups to come together in a welcoming atmosphere.

Sarah Casserley, head marketing and events for Rubicon Leisure, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Sounds In The Grounds back for a third year.

“The event has grown year-on-year and has become a fantastic celebration of our local community, showcasing talented performers whilst providing a fun day out for families and visitors of all ages.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Arrow Valley Visitor Centre for what promises to be our best event yet.”

Pop-up

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of stalls and local traders and community organisations, offering everything from pop-up record shop and beauty accessories to face painting, balloon modelling, 3D printing and art.

People can enjoy a range of water activities on the lake, food and drink from The Boathouse Cafe and the outdoor ice cream kiosk and bar.

The event runs from 2pm until 11pm at the Boathouse at Arrow Valley Visitor Centre on August 1.
