Speak up! Appeal for views on Redditch's annual firework display

RESIDENTS are being invited to give their views on this year’s Redditch Firework Spectacular, to help improve it for the future.

The Borough Council is looking for comments on the event which takes place this Thursday, November 1 in Arrow Valley Park, via a short online survey at www.redditchbc.gov.uk/fireworks.

Events officer Val Wilson said: “We want your feedback to make sure we’re providing an event that suits the community.

“Nearly 200 people replied last year and the responses really helped us to understand who’s coming to the event and what they liked or thought could be better.”

The survey will open on the morning of November 1 and run until 9.30am on Monday November 19.

This year’s event starts at 6pm with a funfair, then there will be live music from Plus One and Xavier Reeves and a firework show at 7.30pm.

Admission is free, while food and funfair rides will be on sale on the night.

A free park and ride shuttle bus to the event runs every 15 minutes between 5.45pm and 7pm on the night, with buses going from Moons Moat Drive for the Merse Road event parking to the Paper Mill Drive underpass a short walk from the event. Return trips start at 8.15pm and the last pickup is 9.15pm.
