STAFF at a Redditch opticians are embracing their rainbow hues ahead of the town’s Go Bright for Sight Colour Run next month.

The team from Specsavers in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre are both sponsoring and taking part in the 5k colour spectacular on Sunday, September 10, which takes place in the Arrow Valley Country Park in aid of local sight loss charity, Sight Concern Worcestershire.

“The team really enjoyed being part of this fantastic event last year, so it made complete sense to support the activity again,” said store director James Worton. “We’re all looking forward to taking part, getting colourful and raising funds for such a good cause.”

Beginning the race dressed in white, participants will be pelted with 100 per cent natural brightly coloured paint as they pass paint stations en route, finishing the race with a multi-coloured covering. Visually impaired runners will be supported to take part being matched with a sighted guide to navigate the course.
