THE Safer Neighbourhood Teams in Redditch have been out and about cracking down on speeding motorists.
It comes at the start of a national campaign to enforce the speed limit and persuade motorists of the dangers of going too fast.
Anecdotal evidence points to drivers exceeding the speed limit due to the emptier roads caused by the coronavirus lockdown.
In Feckenham the Redditch SNT were out with their speed camera checking the speed of drivers along The Saltway road to Hanbury and Droitwich.
The long straight through the village, with a descent at either end, is a tempting stretch for motorists to put their foot down when the speed limit is 30mph.
Beat Bobby Pc Downes said: “30mph means 30mph. Keep the foot off the gas.”
