QUICK thinking police arrested two men after a break-in at Tesco Express in Hopkins Precinct, Alcester.
Several men were seen by CCTV smashing a window at the front of the store at 2.50am on Wednesday morning, July 19.
Within a couple of minutes police units arrived and four offenders, who were all wearing hoods and had their faces covered, got into a light blue BMW and drove off at speed.
Following a short pursuit which resulted in damage to both their car and a police response vehicle, the four ran off at Hadrians Walk.
Their car was damaged in the escape and police were able to track it to Augustus Road.
Members of the public then pointed officers in the direction the offenders had ran off in after abandoning their car and as a result two men were arrested.
A 20 year old man and a 16 year old boy were located and arrested on suspicion of burglary. They are both in custody.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who was in the area of Hadrians Walk at around 3am and may have information about the two remaining offenders to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 42 of July 19.
