WITH THE Easter double bank holiday, a break from school and some fantastic springtime weather, many Redditch residents of all ages headed out and about to make the most of the sunshine.
We put out a call on our Redditch Standard Facebook page for your pictures of what you got up to during this time off work, school and college and you did not disappoint.

There are plenty of places to go in the borough and throughout Worcestershire – wonderful venues, country parks and green areas to spend your leisure time.

Arrow Valley, as you would expect, proved popular with visitors who went for walks or enjoyed food and drink at the boathouse cafe, while others indulged in the beauty of nature and family-friendly activities.

The lake glistened under longer daylight hours, and the trees burst with fresh green leaves and cherry blossoms. Families fed the ducks, geese, swans and other water birds while cyclists pedaled their way along the paths and others enjoyed picnics on the grass.
Some people got creative and put their arty skills to the test, using the time to escape from the daily grind with a spot of crafting.

Some people took time to go out and socialise with friends or family, holding gatherings and get togethers or attending or organising discos and parties.

In the town centre on Good Friday, there was the Walk of Witness which certainly drew in the crowds – more than 100 turned up to see the annual reflective event snake its way through the town and the Kingfisher shopping centre.

Others fostered the true spirit of Easter and gifted sweets and chocolate treats to people in the community.

Irene Stickley was a bunny for Inspire Support Services giving just over 60 bags of sweets to children.
As the days grow warmer and the countryside bursts into colour, Redditch in springtime offers a refreshing reminder of new beginnings, hope, and community spirit.
