St Bede's Middle School recognised for its hard work promoting sport

STAFF and pupils at St Bede’s Middle School have been recognised for all the hard work they do to promote sport.

And they’ve been presented with the Platinum School Games Mark Award to acknowledge their achievements.

The award was launched earlier this year as an extension of the government-led School Games Mark scheme.

It’s a way to reward schools which have maintained consistently high standards with their sport provision.

Head of PE Mr Stenning said: “We had to submit a lengthy application providing all sorts of evidence.

“For example the amount of sport opportunities available at the school, number of pupils attending and what competitions we had entered during the year.”

St Bede’s is currently the only school in Redditch to be awarded Platinum.

Mr Stenning added: “I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work.”
