ST BEDE’S Catholic Middle School has seen the confidence of its pupils boosted after launching the Junior Apprentice Programme last year.
The initiative offers pupils the opportunity to take part in innovative projects to aid their social, emotional and physical development.
Pupils get the opportunity to visit local businesses which helps when considering their future careers.
A spokesperson at the school said: “So far, we have worked with local charities and businesses including animal care and farm work, hospitality management, garden centres and cooking.
“Any local businesses or charities that would like to hear more about how you could become involved in this project, please don’t hesitate to get in contact.”
