St Stephen's school children hand-craft beautiful Christmas cards for retirees in Redditch

THE Christmas spirit is well and truly alive in Redditch as school children have been busy crafting hand-made Christmas cards for residents at Milward Place, McCarthy Stone’s Retirement Living community located on Clive Road.

Pupils from Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 at St Stephen’s CE RSA Academy kindly created unique Christmas cards, taking extra special care with their festive designs and even included a special note inside for each recipient to cherish.

Organised by McCarthy Stone, the Christmas cards were arranged to make sure Christmas 2021 is one to remember for those living at Milward Place.

Mrs Sarah Barrett, deputy headteacher at St Stephen’s said: “This was such a lovely opportunity for our children to give something back to the local community.

“They loved making Christmas cards, knowing that were going to make someone they had never met smile and we all thoroughly enjoyed taking part.”

Debby Pavitt, divisional sales and marketing director for McCarthy Stone, added: “With St Stephen’s CE RSA Academy just down the road from Milward Place, everyone was delighted to receive the special hand-made Christmas cards, which I’m sure they will keep as a special memento for years to come.

“Thank you to all the children for helping us to start Christmas celebrations in such a heart-warming way.”
