Star bakers urged to sign up as Mayor launches Redditch Bake Off

Correspondent 6th Nov, 2018 Updated: 8th Nov, 2018

BUDDING star bakers are invited to show off their wares at a charity event organised by the Mayor of Redditch.

Councillor Juliet Brunner is holding her own version of the Great British Bake Off and wants lots of goodies for the judges to sample.

She said: “The search is on to find the 2018 star baker of Redditch.

“From rough puffs and crème pats to fluffy sponges and chewy meringues, the oven glove has been thrown down!”

Cakes will be on sale after the judging so even if you are not a star baker, come along, join in the fun and grab a tasty treat.

All proceeds will go to the Mayor’s charities. The bake off is being held at the Town Hall at 10am on Friday, November 16.
