Star Wars collectors fair cleared to land at Kingfisher Shopping Centre

FANS of cult classic Star Wars are in for a treat this Saturday, April 28,as Echo Base Live returns to Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

One of the biggest Star Wars Collectors Fairs in Europe, the special event will offer an unmissable range of vintage and modern memorabilia, including figurines, toys, art and books, as well as rare collectables from the original 1977 film.

Visitors may even catch a glimpse of double Oscar winning special effects artist Brian Johnson, Michael Carter who played Bib Fortuna, Tim Dry who played J’Quille-Whiphid and Mon Calamari Officer and finally, Alan Austen who played characters Bespin Security Guard and as a Stormtrooper.

Echo Base Live will also provide a free valuation service for attendees, where enthusiasts can bring along any Star Wars related items to be valued.




The popular fan-tailored experience will take place in units opposite Debenhams and next door to Smiggle, from 9.30am until 5pm on Saturday.

Domonique Lippett, marketing manager at Kingfisher, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the return of Echo Base Live this Saturday.


“The event always proves to be hugely popular with Star Wars fans of all ages, and attracts people from all over the world.

“With a whole host of intergalactic action lined up, it promises to be another unmissable day,” she added.
