A MASSIVE £3,043.90 has been raised from selling refreshment packs, raffle tickets and bucket shaking at a special screening of the new Star Wars film last weekend – all of which has been donated to Brain Tumour Research today.
Organisers said: “A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and was involved including Alvechurch Middle School pupils, parents, staff and ex pupils.
“Also thanks to the Empire Cinema in Rubery for letting AMS take over for a night – and for letting us shake buckets all opening weekend of Rogue One.
To the UK Garrison for being in attendance all weekend in costume and for having photos taken with people.
“Finally to Carole in HSBC Redditch for checking all of the banking this morning – it was a lot of coins!”
