THE UK’s only Roxy Music Bryan Ferry Tribute Band formed in 2004, Roxy Magic, is back at the Palace Theatre next Friday, January 14 at 7.30pm.
Roxy Magic lovingly recreate four decades, of incredible music: from art school retro-futurism to classic standards via sophisticated, adult-oriented rock. Their aim is to give the audience a fabulously entertaining evening and with a great combination of high-quality musicianship and a wonderful Bryan Ferry look and sound-alike in Kevin Hackett.
The band said: “You grew up with this music on the radio. surrounding you. defining you. 247 radio one, medium wave, warmth and static crackles on long summer days that never ended. always there, always incredible.
“Then it was all gone!
“But now, its here again – a reminder, a connection, a celebration, a gathering. so close, so true and played with love and respect and pride. For one night only, the sounds of yesterday, today and tomorrow.”
