AFTER months of planning and preparation the Redditch Local History Society’s 2019 exhibition – ‘My Redditch Memories’ – has opened at Forge Mill Needle Museum.
The exhibition features memories of Redditch residents, past and present, many of which have been written especially for this exhibition.
Each of these has been illustrated with photographs either from archives, or submitted by the donor.
As well as the written stories at the exhibition there are several special features including displays about Church Green, St. Stephen’s Church and old maps of the town.
There is also a special feature remembering the late Colin Wheeler and his association with the Palace Theatre.
On each Wednesday there are ‘drop in’ days when members of the Society will be present to discuss the exhibition and and the work they do.
Also on these days there will be additional archive material on display.
The exhibition is in the gallery of Forge Mill and runs until Sunday, November 24, 2019.
