Street in Alvechurch has one of the spookiest names in the country

AS Halloween looms, a road in Alvechurch has been named one of the spookiest, scariest streets in Britain.

Snake Lane in Alvechurch has been revealed by online estate agent HouseSimple.com as having one of the 30 top ghastliest street names in the country.

According to the research by HouseSimple.com just 19 people had the courage to buy a property on one of these 30 streets since last Halloween, and there have only been 227 sales on these streets in the past 10 years.

Trick or Treaters will be out in force on October 31, but maybe not along Hell Lane, Gallows Close, Vampire Road or Spook Hill.

Other streets that made the list include Coffin Close,  Skull House Lane, Revenge Close,  Reapers Close, Black Cat Drive, Cauldron Crescent and Broomstick Lane.
