PEOPLE in Redditch are invited to step out for better mental health next week as part of a national drive for wellness.
The free social run on Thursday (October 12), starting at the Foxlydiate Arms, is part of World Mental Health Day, promoting the benefits of exercise on mental health.
Hosted by registered mental health nurses Nicola Noél and Hannah Match, who are Redditch Stars England Athletics Mental Health Ambassadors, the night run is an opportunity to get active and meet new people as well as talk about mental health.
A £1 voluntary donation is requested for the mental health charity MIND.
“This run is not about being competitive – it’s about having fun, talking and helping people feel better.”
Runners should meet outside the pub at around 6.50pm and everyone is invited to stay and socialise afterwards too.
Hi-viz and head torches are advised and anyone interested in signing up can email [email protected] for more details.
