Students of FSK Karate receive special visit from gold medal-winner

Redditch Editorial 5th Feb, 2020   0

STUDENTS of FSK Karate were treated to a seminar with a difference when gold medal-winning Master Wayne Baker from SESMA Norwich visited their Redditch dojo on Sunday, January 26.

Teaching Korean patterns, all the students took something out of the session and also enjoyed learning something different and to see the differences between traditional Korean forms and the Shotokan Katas they learn in lessons under Sensei Treadwell.

Master Wayne Baker was part of the Great Britain winning Kumite team that beat the USA in the World games in 2019 to take gold fighting alongside Sensei Treadwell.

Sensei Treadwell will be returning the session by leading a seminar in early February at SESMA on shotokan katas and kumite (sparring).

Furi Sutairu Karate holds lessons at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch weekly on Tuesdays 6pm to 7.30pm and Saturdays at Woodrush Hub Wythall from 9.30am to 11am.

For more info contact Sensei Treadwell on 07341 569060.
