Studley Beavers picking up some praise

STUDLEY Beavers have been helping to clean up their village as part of their Community Impact badge.

The 1st Beavers (Arrow Colony) have been busy working with Studley in Bloom, the dedicated team who’ve turned the village into a gold medal place to visit.

The Beavers learned about the important work that the Studley in Bloom volunteers do to make the village look its best.

They started by picking litter around the village and could not believe how much rubbish they found close to their own HQ – and learnt a very important lesson.

They also made posters to encourage dog owners to pick up after their dogs to help keep their village clean.

Kim Dobbs from Arrow Beavers said: “it is very important for the children to feel part of their village, if they start now hopefully they will learn to respect it when they are older.”

The Beavers also planted two tubs with a variety of plants, bulbs and seeds which, now in full bloom, are visible from Pool Road car park for everyone to see.
