A MUCH-loved florist in Studley has celebrated its 35th birthday.
Opened by local businesswoman Pam Taylor Hughes on November 30 1990, the shop has grown into a cherished and trusted florist and gift shop for Studley, Redditch, Alcester and beyond.
Over the past three-and-a-half decades, Pam and her team have created thousands of bouquets, supplied flowers to hundreds of weddings, crafted countless bespoke funeral tributes, and delivered joy to customers across the area.
Among the loyal customer base are several well-known faces, including Amanda Holden, Alison Hammond, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne, and local England goalkeeping star Hannah Hampton.
What began as a one woman operation has blossomed into a team of four friendly florists and a business with strong family roots.
Pam’s husband, mother, daughter and even her young grandson have all played a role in the daily life of the shop, appearing in social media posts, mucking in with deliveries and offering hands-on help during busy periods like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day and Christmas.
Pam’s contribution to the Studley community reaches far beyond flowers. Over the years she has supported local causes and events, donated raffle prizes, sold poppies for the Studley branch of the Royal British Legion and been part of many village projects.
She even completed a hair-raising parachute jump and raised £2,000 for the Studley First Responders.
Pam’s shop remains a place at the heart of the village where customers are greeted by name, advice comes with a smile and every bouquet is made with personal care.
Pam said: “It’s such a proud moment to celebrate 35 years in business.
“When I opened the shop back in 1990, I never imagined the incredible journey it would take us on.
“I feel very privileged to have been part of so many special moments in people’s lives – the happy ones and the sad times too.
“Flowers have the power to make people smile and, knowing we have helped to do that for our community and our customers, means the world to us.
“I couldn’t have done any of this without my amazing team and the support of my family and our loyal customers.”
