Studley High School launch a kindness campaign

STUDENTS and teachers at Studley High School have launched a ‘Pay it Forward’ kindness project which aims to create a ripple effect of kindness throughout the school and beyond, writes Mia Whitehouse.

They – along with members of the wider community – are encouraged to fill in 1,000 colourful ‘kindness arrows’ to record moments of kindness they have witnessed or performed.

These will then be passed on to create a chain of positivity.

The ultimate aim of the project is to complete a full lap around the school site – ‘a visual testament’ to the power of collective goodwill.

If successful the school will celebrate with a vibrant charity run in July as another way to give back to the community by raising funds for charity.

Mrs Jenkins, the teacher who has spearheaded the project, said: “We are thrilled with the overwhelming response so far.

“Our aim was to make kindness something tangible for our students, a force they can see and feel around them and it’s working.

“Kindness truly is everywhere here at Studley and now we’re seeing it come alive on every wall and corridor.”

The campaign has already sparked meaningful conversations about the impact small acts of kindness can have on individuals and communities, as well as how simple gestures can transform everyday interactions into extraordinary connections.

With just weeks left to complete their full lap, people are encouraged to get involved and fill in an arrow to share their stories and to help Studley reach its goal.

Everyone involved is hoping to help Studley High School turn its vision of a kinder world into reality – one arrow at a time.

People are being urged to join the movement and witness first-hand how one small act of kindness can inspire countless others.

Mrs Jenkins added: “Kindness is everywhere – it just takes a little effort to notice it and pass it on.”
