A BUMPER £340 was raised by Studley in Bloom at their recent coffee and cake morning at the local Co-op store.
Big-hearted locals defied the ravages of Storm Doris to attend the event which at one stage was so popular they ran out of mugs.
Delighted chair of the Bloomers, Gill Liebthal said: “The morning went absolutely brilliantly and we were busier than ever.
“The new manager of the Co-op, Kevin Holder, was fantastic and we had more space then ever. Thanks also go to everyone who helped on the day.”
The Bloomers are marking their 20th anniversary this year and the next fund-raising coffee morning will be held at Easter.
