PLANS for yet another takeaway in Studley have prompted objections from the parish council.
An application had gone in to Stratford district council to turn the former Natwest Bank site in Haydon House, Alcester Road, into a hot food takeaway, complete with a three storey high fume extractor.
Councillors raised concerns over noise and fumes for nearby residents and the butcher’s shop next door, and questioned whether the village really needed another fast food outlet.
The only positive aspect of the application, said council chairman Paul Beaman was the inclusion of a cashpoint machine.
“However this is not the type of premises we are looking for in the village and it will impact on the quality of life of residents,” he said.
Councillors voted unanimously to object to the plan which now goes forward to Stratford district council for consideration.
