Studley pub shortlisted in Admiral's Pub of the Year Award

LOCAL community pub, the Needlemakers in Studley, has been shortlisted in Admiral Tavern’s Best pub of the year category, at the Great British Pub Awards.

It is one of 1,600 pubs, so an incredible achievement for this traditional village pub.

The Needlemakers is a tradition village pub, a wet-led (drinks only) establishment with open fires and a large beer garden which welcomes families, friends and their dogs as well.

It is run by local Angela Freeman, she is passionate about maintaining the history of the pub and the community.

“It was a bit of a shock, we got nominated without me knowing!

“I didn’t know until we got to the final six but I’ve put my heart and soul into making the pub the hub of this community.

“I’m very touched, and the community can see what it means to us, it’s really close too our hearts.”
