THE TESCO Express in Studley and the Post Office housed within it are set to close next month.
The Standard contacted Tesco and the Post Office after concerned residents got in touch.
A Tesco spokesperson said notice on the lease of the Studley Express store had been served by the landlord and the shop would be closing on October 16.
She added: “We realise this will be unsettling for our colleagues and we will work hard to find alternative roles in our nearby stores.
“We serve a fantastic community in Studley and will continue to do so through our nearby local stores and our dotcom service.”
A Post Office spokesperson said: “The operator for Studley Post Office has resigned as the store where the branch is based is closing.”
She added the branch would close at 12.30pm on October 15.
“We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are working hard to restore service to the community as soon as possible.”
She added the next nearest ones were Matchborough Post Office, Martin McColl’s in the Matchborough Centre and Greenlands Post Office, 170 to 172 Studley Road, Redditch.
