CHILDREN from Studley have had to be put up in bed and breakfast accommodation due to a rise in homelessness.
Describing the news as ‘grim’, district councillor Hazel Wright (Lib Dem, Studley South & Sambourne) told Studley Parish Council the number of people without a roof over their heads was increasing across south Warwickshire.
“This is a direct result of relying on market forces to provide social housing and I find it hard to believe that this country is the fifth richest in the world yet we have people living in these sort of conditions in this day and age,” she said.
