AN organic farm will be hosting a fun outdoor Summer Fair this Saturday, August 12, in Stock Wood near Inkberrow, writes Ramla Soni.

Rush Farm is a sustainable farm which runs across 200 acres of land and is owned by the charity the Stockwood Community Benefit Society.

It’s billed as the farm that inspired the popular Radio 4 programme The Archers and the fair will offer a host of rural pursuits for visitors to enjoy.

These include tractor trailer rides, horse cart riding, a bouncy castle, face painting, an air cannon and a willow workshop.

Plus there will also be live music, alcohol refreshments and old fashioned games for the adults.

Sebastian Parsons, chief executive of Rush Farm said: “The aim of this fair is for families to enjoy a lovely day out and also tell the community about our project and what the farm does. We focus on wildlife conservation and protecting the environment as well as natural resources.”

The farm is worked organically on a nine year rotation system and has issued shares so members of the public can invest in the project.

The fair is free of charge and will be held from 11am to 4pm.
