REDDITCH-based Gymophobics has scooped the Slimmer of the Year Award 2019 at a national ceremony organised by its parent organisation.
The awards, which are now in their 13th year, recognise excellence and achievement for centres in the Gymophobics franchise – which is the largest ladies-only gym group in the UK.
The gym, which first opened its doors in 2007, markets itself as a ladies-only health centre with no mirrors, no pressure and no men.
For the second year in a row, Gymophobics Redditch has brought home the ‘Slimmer of the Year’ award together with a 5-star centre of excellence award.
This year’s winner Sam Barass lost four stone 3lb and has won herself a three-month free membership, a professional makeover and photoshoot.
Club manager Sue Aravanis said: “The team are all incredibly proud of Sam’s achievement, she is such a lovely lady who has worked incredibly hard and taken on board all the advice we have given her and is a well-deserved winner.”
Slimmer of the Year Sam said: “I can’t thank you all enough for all the support, I’m here for keeps, here’s to 2020. I love you all!”
Gymophobics now has over 50 centres across the UK.
Donna Hubbard, Founder of Gymophobics, said: “Gymophobics Redditch have worked tirelessly to maintain the high standards that are set in our centres.
“Their facilities help boost fitness, health as well as the happiness of their members.”
