A GROUP of friendly fundraisers took a step towards upping their fitness last week as they raised money for a national cancer charity.
Slimming World members from Redditch got together for a fund-raising 5K walk around Arrow Valley Lake last week – donating £520 for Cancer Research between them.
Around 40 group members from Astwood Bank and elsewhere came out with their children and pooches for the two-lap “Walk all over Cancer” event, improving their own fitness and ‘body magic’ as well as supporting the good cause.
Astwood Bank Slimming World consultant, Rose England added: “It was great to see so many members come and join us, and they really enjoyed themselves It’s a lovely, sociable way to help others and help build some more Body Magic into their week.
“We’re really proud to be supporting Cancer Research UK as part of Slimming World’s charity work.”
