REDDITCH businesses affected by coronavirus restrictions are being reminded to apply for business support grants.
Businesses may be eligible for a number of government grant schemes, depending on the local Covid-19 alert level and whether they are required to close by law.
To make it easier to apply, Redditch Borough Council has streamlined the application process for all the schemes into a single online application form.
Leader of the council Coun Matt Dormer said: “The business support grants now take into account what tier of Covid-19 restrictions a local area is in, along with other factors, to support businesses affected by the restrictions.
“These grants can be vital and I would urge local businesses to ensure they have checked their eligibility and applied.
“It’s easy to do online.”
Redditch received more than £2.6m in business support payments from the government for the current period, according to the council.
This includes £921,000 for businesses which have been required to close.
