ROLLING road closures will be in force when the Ovo Energy Women’s Tour sweeps through Worcestershire on Saturday.
Riding from Evesham to Worcester the peloton, featuring a clutch of World and Olympic champions, will pass through Feckenham after a contesting a sprint in Inkberrow.
Police expect the road closures to be no more than 30 minutes at the most.
Chief Inspector Jim Baker said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the women’s tour in Worcestershire; it’s a great event for the county and we hope as many people as possible will come out to support the riders.
“There will be road closures in place throughout the day to allow the race to pass through and we’d urge people to plan their journeys accordingly.”
Hundreds of spectators are expected to line the route to cheer the riders on and there’s no better way to get to a viewing point than by bike.
Top spots locally will be The Lenches for hill climbing, the sprint in Inkberrow, and the peloton racing through Feckenham.
