Take the ale and cider trail

Redditch Editorial 29th Aug, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

FOR THE third year running, pubs across Alcester will throw open their doors this weekend and welcome revellers to the annual Real Ale and Cider Trail.

Running across both Saturday and Sunday, the event will be held in celebration of the town’s passion for its real ales and ciders.

“With so many of us serving them normally, it’s a perfect opportunity to get everyone together one weekend a year and have an even greater selection than normal,” said Hayley Maher, landlady of The Royal Oak and organiser of the event.

The festivites will run from noon into late evening over the weekend with no less than ten pubs taking part, including: The Lord Nelson on Priory Road, The Dog and Partridge on Bleachfield Street, The Cross Keys on Stratford Road, The Royal Oak, The Tuns, The Bear and The Turks all on the High Street and The Hollybush on Henley Street.
