THE show home on a new development in Redditch has been officially opened by a Team GB athlete.
The View, off Brockhill Lane, is now in its sixth phase and will deliver up to 960 homes upon completion.
The latest phase brings 109 new homes to the area, supporting local housing needs with a portion of homes transferred to a housing association partner for rent and shared ownership.
The opening was marked by a visit from Team GB judoka, Gemma Howell.
During her visit, Gemma led a Q&A session with visitors and carried out a healthy eating demonstration in the show home’s kitchen.
Amanda Rogers, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands said: “This is a hugely exciting development that will deliver quality homes in Redditch and it was great to have Gemma along for the opening of our new show home.
“The View is providing a range of high-quality homes in Redditch, helping to address the need for new quality housing whilst at the same time making important contributions to local services and infrastructure.
“Persimmon Homes is proud to be an Official Partner of Team GB for Paris 2024.
“We celebrate the importance of home and understand the strong connection between the places where we put down roots, and the things we can go on to achieve.
“In the lead-up to Paris 2024, Team GB athletes are being invited to some of our show home openings across the country, to share their connections to the local area and inspire future generations.”
Gemma said it was great to meet the customers and Persimmon Homes team.
“This is a beautiful show home and I enjoyed preparing a healthy meal in the show home kitchen.
“I love all the surrounding green areas which would be great for a dog walk.”
